A Note from the Author
Raising Patriots
As a mother of two young children, I fear for what their future will hold. I pray to God every single day that my husband and I are able to raise them for what is ahead - to be strong, independent men of integrity who follow the Lord and who understand fully how blessed we are to be Americans. I was incredibly fortunate to be raised in a family where our morals and values were instilled daily and where God and country were a part of every day living.
Our grandfather was a WWII veteran who escaped Nazi prison camps SEVEN times on his own accord - he never left the house without his "veteran" ball cap and red, white, and blue on his shirt. We were taught to love our country, appreciate our freedom, and to honor those who have sacrificed so much so that we may be free.
As adults, we can fight hard for what we believe in, we can fight hard to do what is right, and we can fight hard to make certain that our children have the same freedoms and opportunities that we have all been afforded.
Being an American is a right by birth, but if we do not teach these same values to our children, all will be lost.
Ronald Reagan said it best: "Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it on to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed down for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free."
We live in a society that is quick to cancel, shut down, demean, or spew hate at any voice that is not like their own. I have fallen victim to allowing this to happen - out of concern for offending someone, out of concern for my job, out of pure disdain for being in conflict... I have silenced myself... but I've realized, if I don't speak up on behalf of my children, then who will? Moreover, if they don't see us standing for what we believe in, then how are we ever supposed to teach them to stand for themselves?
It is with this in mind that "Little Liberty" was born. We would be honored if you would share, order, or simply pray that this book gets in the hands of people who will cherish it. May God Bless the USA.
